Isipho launches first national fundraising campaign.
On July 24th, Isipho launched our first national fundraising campaign.  The campaign deviates quite a bit from the normal child photo, problem-focused Africa aid advertising. Rather, we use bright but realistic illustration to focuses on the solution and the positive impact of an Isipho food garden across the entire village.

We are very thankful to OPA membes Discovery Communications, Forbes, NYMag.com, and several McGraw-Hill sites for donating the ad impressions, and to the great creative and technical work led by the very kind and talented Ron Huey of  Huey Partners with support from Skylab B, Honey Made Design, and Screen Presence.

““When we gave them a shovel, they got right to work,” said Miranda, a ninth-grader at the Paideia School in Atlanta. “Malnutrition is such a big deal, and it seems ridiculous that they can’t sustain their own nutrition because they don’t have the right tools,” she said. “They have the ambition and the commitment, but they don’t have those tools. “And it’s so simple,” she said. “I thought, ‘Hey, I can do this. Why not?’ “
